Bloody dogs

Bit of a yarn here.

Last week Kassie decided to take Rose the pup we kept for a walk through the bush. How nice for them.

Well I cleared out to test out in Aussie for a job (welding so that’s why the test), come home to find they had cleared out AGAIN. Last time it was two days away, Kassie was limping badly when they got back, Rose was just hungry. Hungry like give her a horse and she just kept on eating.
But I get home to find them gone AGAIN.

I think this time it will end in tears, Kassie was still looking like shit from her last trip away.

This time it’s been three days and Kassie still had a limp from last time and was that skinny she made a match stick look fat as she was still skinny from last time. It’s not looking good…….

Home again

Home again. Long story short, someone ‘forgot’ to tell me the start date will be 2-3-4 weeks after the weld test and medical.

So for the last 3.5 days I’ve spent somewhere around 22 hours flying and another 25 at airports. With an eight hours weld test and a two hour medical.

What a fun few days.

Just had word

It’s time to put the welding bucket back on, off to Perth to test out then up to Karratha.

I wasn’t going to take the camera, but well, hmmmm. It may sneak in yet.

Combining welding with photography

Been doing a bit in an acid plant for the last week. I just like this shot, no particular reason, it just appeals to me. I think it may be the vertical lines….

Bored

Sick of being at home. Sick of the weather. Sick of the cook (and she is sick of me). Want to get working but that won’t happen for a few more weeks. Boredom is bad. Need to take more photos but need some kinder weather for that too.

One of the three jobs

Diversified thats me, in other words I can’t settle into one job or lifestyle.
Here’s a bit of welding though, just so you get an idea of life under the bucket.

Interesting sight driving up the road

While we where away on another photo tour we came across this happening on a dangerous road. The safest way to clear loose material from above this steep bluff was to use the helicopter with a bucket underneath.
They were refilling the bucket from a river just out of shot, down through some willow tree’s. Dangerous but impressive.

Bad weather

Trying to get out and get some photo’s, but the wind is hollowing, snow forecast, me thinks it will be a night in front of the telly…..
